πŸ₯πŸ“πŸFarm LifeπŸ₯πŸ“πŸ

Our nursery children have been fully immersed in our farm theme this week! 🚜🌾

They’ve been busy building tractors and farms using blocks and small world resources, using their imagination to create their own countryside scenes. The children also enjoyed drawing their favourite farm animals and getting creative by making their own farm animal crafts. πŸ„πŸ‘πŸ–

Our sensory trays filled with hay were a big hit too – providing wonderful opportunities for hands-on exploration, descriptive language and imaginative play.

It’s been fantastic to see such creativity, concentration and teamwork as the children explore life on the farm! 🌟

World Book Day 2026

What an incredible World Book Day we've had today! πŸ“š This year's theme, 'Go All in - If you’re into it, read into it,' truly inspired us all!

The kids & staff came in some amazing costumes and PJs! They enjoyed live readings with authors, sparking their creativity and love for books. We also:

- Dove into graphic novels and explored their unique layouts.

- The kiddos got creative, forming teams or working solo on their own graphic novels.

- Everyone collaborated to design their stunning covers!

These creations will be 'published' for everyone to celebrate. What a fun-filled day! Keep inspiring your young readers! πŸ“–βœ¨

πŸ’ͺ✨ Fine Motor Skills πŸ’ͺ✨

Our nursery children have also been busy developing their fine motor skills this week!

From carefully using pegs to build and balance, to exploring farm puzzles and using tongs to pick up eggs – these activities help strengthen little hands and fingers, supporting early writing and everyday skills. πŸ–οΈπŸ§©πŸ₯š

We love seeing the focus, determination and big smiles as they practise their coordination and control. Well done, everyone! 🌟

World Book Day!

On Thursday, March 5th, 2026, we’ll be celebrating World Book Day! This year, in the spirit of the National Year of Reading, our theme is 'Go All in - If you’re into it, read into it'. We’re encouraging everyone to dive into their hobbies, interests, and the things that make them happy through reading!

To make it even more fun, our dress-up theme is *Wear what makes you happy*! πŸŽ‰βœ¨

Children are invited to get creative with their outfits! Here are some ideas to inspire you:

- Dress up as your favourite book character πŸ“–

- Wear cozy clothes or pjs for that perfect bedtime story vibe πŸŒ™

- Choose something that represents your hobbies, interests, favourite colours, or anything else that makes you happy! 🎨

We can’t wait to see all the amazing outfits and celebrate our love for reading together! Happy reading, everyone! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–

5 Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day

Our Nursery children had a lovely time exploring our “5 Little Ducks” themed water tray as part of our farm learning! πŸ¦†πŸšœ

We sang “5 Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day”, practised our counting, and enjoyed scooping and pouring in our little farm pond. A fun way to build early maths skills through hands-on play! πŸ’¦πŸŒΎ

πŸ„πŸ¦†πŸ–Sorting by animal type! πŸ„πŸ¦†πŸ–

In nursery we explored different farm animals and grouped them by their type. The children looked closely at each animal, talked about what makes them the same or different, and placed them in the correct groups.

A fun, hands-on way to build observation skills, vocabulary, and early classification skills through play! 🌿✨
