πŸŒŸπŸ“Έ **School Photo Day** πŸ“ΈπŸŒŸ

The School Photography Company will be capturing individual photos of all the children on Thursday, 30th April.

As many parents requested, these snapshots will be ready just in time for Eid-ul-Adha, making for perfect gifts to share with loved ones.

If you prefer that your child/children do not have their photograph taken, please let the school office know by 27th April.

If you have got younger siblings who want to join in the fun bring them along for the family photo at 8 AM or after school at 3:15 PM.

Throughout the school day, all other children will have their individual photos taken as usual!

Many thanks

**πŸ‘©β€πŸš’πŸš’ Y2 Visit to National Emergency Museum - 7th May πŸ‘©β€πŸš’πŸš’**

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to inform you that on Thursday 7th May, Year 2 will be attending the National Emergency Services Museum (NESM). This will link to our new history topic, ‘The Great Fire of London’. We hope to make this a memorable experience for the children and further their understanding of London in 1666.

During the day, the children will learn how the Great Fire of London was extinguished and the legacy it holds. Children will also get the opportunity to handle replica objects and try out some methods used to fight the fire. As all three classes are visiting on the same day, we aim to leave school at 8:40am, so please arrive at school for 8:30am. We expect to return to school for our usual home time at 3:15pm. If there are any delays, the office team will contact you. Please make sure your contact details are correct at the main office.

The trip will cost £8.00 per child. This includes admission to the NESM and transport. Payment will be split: £6.00 should be paid via Arbor, and the remaining £2.00 should be brought into the school office to cover bus fares. If you have any questions about how to pay on Arbor, please speak to the office team who will assist you further.

What your child needs to bring

We advise children to bring a backpack with all of their belongings for the day. Please include a spare change of clothes and a water bottle with their name on.

All children will be provided with a free packed lunch by school. If your child will be bringing their own packed lunch, please let their class teacher know.

All children must wear their school uniform and sensible shoes. Please ensure they have a coat suitable for the weather, with their name written inside.

Prior to the trip, we ask that any medical information is up to date. You can check this with the school office. If you have any further concerns or queries, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

We hope that you are looking forward to this experience just as much as we are.

Yours sincerely,

Year 2 Team.

Important Update About Arbor Emails

Dear Families,

We wanted to keep you in the loop about a little hiccup we've encountered with our emails from Arbor. It seems that they’ve been sneaking into your junk folders! This issue isn’t just happening here; it's a nationwide thing affecting many parents across the UK.

Arbor is a fantastic school system, but unfortunately, some emails have been mistakenly marked as junk by users, leading to Google and Microsoft tagging all Arbor emails the same way. This means some of our important messages may not be reaching you as they should.

But don’t worry! There's a quick fix! To ensure you start receiving our emails in your inbox again, simply find an email from Arbor, click on it, and mark it as “Not Junk” or move it to your inbox. This will help kickstart the process and get our communications back where they belong!

We truly value keeping you informed about events and celebrating our students' learning adventures. So, thank you for your understanding and support! If you have any questions, feel free to speak to our school office.

We also need parent volunteers! If you’d like to help, please talk to your child's teacher. You would look after a small group of children.
