For those of you who have children in Year 6, we would just like to share that Sheffield Park Academy are hosting their annual open evening on:-

Thursday 10th October - 5-6pm or 6-7pm.

All Year 6 families are welcome to have a look around.

In nursery our current theme is 'Look at me'. We have been talking about our families and who lives in our house. For our rainbow talk session, we looked at a picture of a family eating dinner. The children used their rainbow fans to talk about the picture.

In art this week Y2 practiced press printing. We chose a pattern, drew it onto our printing block and used paint to press and transfer our design into our art books!

We will have the Scholastic book fair in the Junior Hall starting Tuesday 15th October. Please see opening times on the picture attached.

Families will be able to buy a variety of children's books. When families purchase books, school is given a cashpot to spend on books too. Last year due to all the purchases our families made we were given £167.20 to spend on books for our new library.

Many thanks to all our families who purchased books last year.

Yesterday our Y1s had a visitor in school. We started learning songs four our Crucible trip "Giddy Goat"

FS2 loved their police visit. We learnt about the role of a police officer, tried on police helmets and took turns using equipment like gloves and police tape.

This afternoon, Year 2 Diamond have been thinking like architects and designing their own school buildings.
