Relay Your Way - 13th June

Dear Parent/Carers

We are delighted to let you know that the whole school will be taking part in an exciting event called ‘Relay Your Way’ on Friday 13th June 2025. The event promises to be fun and engaging for all involved, promoting inclusion, physical activity, and school spirit.

About The Event

Relay Your Way is an epic relay across Britain championing the 1.5 million young people in the UK with disabilities, including half a million children living with brain conditions. The event will be stopping at Sheffield, and they have selected our school to take part in a baton pass.

For more information, visit the website: https://www.relayyourway.org/

As part of the event, the organisers (or any third parties instructed by Cerebra) may take photographs, video footage, audio recordings, and gather comments from participants throughout the event. These may be used for promotional, educational, or archival purposes in printed or digital formats, including websites and social media.

If you do not want your child to be included in any such media coverage, please notify the school office, and opt out.

If you have any further questions, please ask your child’s class teacher.

Thank you for your continued support.

๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ Rainbow Talk Session ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ

In FS2 during our Rainbow Talk session, we explored a variety of tropical fruits. We had the chance to taste each one, some were incredibly sweet, while others were quite sour! We also discussed the different tastes, textures, and vibrant colors of the fruits.

๐ŸŒโœจ African Workshop ๐ŸŒโœจ

What a truly special day FS2 had yesterday, celebrating the rich cultures, colours, and creativity of the African continent! Our Colours of Africa day brought the classroom to life with music, art, dance, and food and our little learners loved every minute of it! The children took part in a wonderful variety of hands-on activities designed to help them explore and appreciate the beauty of Africa. We made a Moroccan Carrot salad where the children got to mix, squeeze, and stir their way discovering new flavours and spices. Next, our creative artists got stuck into painting traditional African masks. With nimble fingers and colourful beads, the children crafted beautiful bracelets inspired by African jewellery. We made shakers with rice and pasta and decorated them with the bright colours of Africa. To finish off the day, we turned up the music and learned some energetic African dance moves! It was a day full of discovery, creativity, and joy, a wonderful way for our FS2 children to explore the diverse cultures that make Africa so special.
