Y6 Sports Multi-Skills Festival Trip

We are delighted to let you know that our Y6 pupils have been invited to take part in a sports multi-skills festival at Handsworth Junior Sporting Club on Olivers Mount.

There is no cost for this trip. However, we do need to give your permission either on the app or contact the school office.

Please ensure that your child was an appropriate PE KIT AND TRAINERS for this session.  They also need to bring a small bag with a WATER BOTTLE.

Your child will need to bring a packed lunch on the day.  If your child is eligible for free school meals, one will be provided for them.

We will be back at school for 3.15pm

This event will take place on Monday 19th May 2025 in the afternoon.  We will walk to and from the event, returning to school at the end of the day.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to Miss Field or your child’s class teacher.

Thank you for your continued support,

Y6 SATS Information & Breakfast Club

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are very proud of the effort being made by our Year 6 children as they prepare for the upcoming SATs papers and we would like to thank you for the support that you are giving your child’s revision.

As you know SATs will start on Monday 12th May. We have included a timetable below:

Monday 12th May 2025: Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar

Tuesday 13th May 2025: Reading

Wednesday 14th May 2025: Maths Arithmetic (Paper 1) and Reasoning (Paper 2)

Thursday 15th May 2025: Reasoning (Paper 3)

To ensure the children to come into school and feel relaxed and ready for their exams on time, we will be running a FREE breakfast club each morning from 8:20am. This will be in the dining room. The children will be able to come in and have some toast and juice, fully preparing them for the tests ahead. Please ensure your child’s medical information is up to date in the office to ensure we can accommodate for any specific allergies or food intolerances.

It is vital that children ensure that they attend school daily during SATs week. Should children arrive late or miss days, in accordance with the rules, they will be isolated from their peers until they have completed their papers in order to avoid prior exposure to the content of the test papers.

Please ensure your child gets lots of rest and sleep over the testing period to enable them to perform to the best of their ability.

If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Thank you for your continuous support and cooperation.
