Dear families
On Tuesday 17th June Year 5 will be going on a trip to The National Space Centre in Leicester. As part of the ‘Space’ topic, they will explore the six galleries which are crammed full of space suits, rockets, satellites, and meteorites. Additionally, children will visit the iconic Rocket Tower and the UK’s largest domed planetarium.
Your child will be eating their lunch at the museum, and will therefore need a packed lunch and a drink. If your child normally has free school meals, they will receive a free packed lunch.
Children need to arrive at school at 8:00am and we will be returning to school around 4pm.
The cost of the trip is £20.00 which includes entry to the museum and a planetarium show where children will be immersed in a full 360º cinema experience. It will also include transportation by coach to and from the venue.
Please give permission through the arbor app or speak to the school office. You will be able to pay in installments for this trip.
If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or any member of the Y5 team.
