Dear parents
Y3 pupils will visit Ponds Forge every Tuesday morning from 11th February - 15th July for swimming lessons.
For each lesson your child will need to come to school dressed in their swimwear (underneath their school uniform).
They will also need to bring the following:
• A towel
• A waterproof bag
• A change of underwear
The Y5 team would like to invite Parents to a MEET THE TEACHERS BREAKFAST to give you the opportunity to share breakfast with your child and to chat with your child’s teachers.
When: Thursday 10th July 2025
Location: Y5 Classrooms
Time: 8:40am-9:10am

Our FS2 children are very excited to wear their cap and gowns for their graduation ceremony on Friday 11th July at 9.15am. All FS2 parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins all welcome. Refreshments will be available for everyone! Tickets are on sale now from the school office at 50p each. The ticket includes entry into our raffle draw, and a piece of cake.
Year 2 are off to Bridlington on Tuesday, 15th July 2025 for a fantastic day at the beach! Get ready for sandcastles, paddling, a picnic, and singing together!
Please arrive by 8am for our 8:15am departure. Don’t forget to check your child’s contact info and pack a bottle of water, a change of clothes, and a warm coat. If it’s sunny, apply sunscreen before we go!

We’re excited to invite you to our Summer Fair on Wednesday, July 16th, from 2:15 PM to 5 PM on the school field! Get ready for an afternoon filled with fun games, amazing stalls, bouncy inflatables, delicious food, and awesome entertainment. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with our school community and enjoy some summer fun together!
A quick reminder: School will close early that day, so please make sure to collect your child from their usual spot at 2:15 PM. Also, please note that the nursery afternoon session will be cancelled.

Y6 Leavers Celebration
Dear families,
Y6 children are fast approaching the end of their time with us at High Hazels Academy. Staff at High Hazels would like to give them the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and to say goodbye to friends and teachers at the ‘End of Year Celebration’.
** Date: Friday, 18th July 2025, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm**
We’ll have food and would appreciate any donations of drinks. Remember, children MUST be collected by 6:30pm as they can’t walk home alone.

New School Uniform for September 2024
Dear families,
In a bid to make uniform more affordable, we have decided to change our school uniform slightly. Pupils can now wear navy blue sweatshirts/cardigans either with/without the logo, white polo shirt, plain black jogging bottoms/leggings/skirts, black shoes or plain black trainers, children no longer need to wear ties.
Girls can wear a pull over type (not loose) scarf in navy or black
