In Y6 we are publishing our information texts about our very own dragons in a creative way! First, we painted our dragons’ habitats and then added our drawings and information about the dragons we created. We loved bringing our imaginative ideas to life through our dioramas!

Our Opal Play project is a hit with the children during lunch times! To make it even better, we’re asking for your help!

This week, we’re on the lookout for any old lego, small toys, soft toys, puzzles and games that you might have tucked away and no longer use. If you have any of these items, we’d love to give them a new home in our play sessions!

Thank you to all the parents who attended the OPAL parent event yesterday! It was great to see such a fantastic turnout, exceeding our expectations! Many parents shared how much they enjoyed the experience and gained an insight into the significance of donations and wellies in our school, allowing children to enjoy the field throughout the year. Here are a few snapshots capturing all the fun!

Year 6 have been using their Kagan (co-operative) work structures to complete rounding numbers to the nearest 1,000,10,000, 100,000 and million! Using their steps to success, they worked together to complete the tasks given. Teamwork makes the dream work!
